Hi Martin and all the great people at StudioCoast,

It would be really great to have the possibility to include all commands available for shortcuts or API into a playlist. This is how we use our broadcast professional desk at the Austria Broadcasting Corp.
For example:
Playlist Item #1 Opening Video
#2 Stinger Transition
#3 Virtual Studio, Zoom Wide, Virtual Screen Input 5
#4 Zoom Close
#5 Change Virtual Screen to Input 6
#7 Video 2
#8 Stinger Transition
#9 ...

Jumping from one item to another with just one Keypress.

This would be great to either host a self controlled show that is well prepared and it is also easier for the control room operator.
I'm aware vmix scripting and also use shortcuts in combination with Companion and Streamdeck. But still, preparing a button for every item in the running order can also cause some troubles ("what key is next???"). And it's good to have a GUI for that list and not some scripting code.

Any chance to get this feature?

Best,
Claudio

Interesting idea, let's make vMix a CuePilot competitor for $1200 ! ;)

Jokes apart, there are already many solutions to do this, internally with vMix only or with 3rd party apps...

Internally :
- using scripts
- using triggers

3rd party apps :
- vMix UTC
- vMix Panel Builder
- vMix Automation
and I must be forgetting a few ones...

I already designed vMix presets where the host can control the entire show using a few key presses. My solution to avoid the "next key press issue" was simply to use the preview as a conductor where the host can see his options for next sequence as well as timers and notes... See picture below

I have definitely created a complicated open with triggers and scripts to do a range of functions but I wouldn't want to do a show that way.

The open, rejoiner and closer/capper are heavily automated.

Then I try to reduce the workload in the show by giving each type of inputs audio control.

When you take an input (onTransitionOn) turn on the audio and set it to level 75.

When you take an element off air (onTransitionOff) fade out the audio, turn off the audio from the input and pause the video or in some cases retun to the start of the video.

All live elements have audio controls so the audio is always on when you take them.
My take black and FTB buttons automatically fade out all live elements.

List inputs and Playlists should handle the rest.
