I am trying to see if I can change the SRT output encoding settings in order to set the keyframe interval and the encoding profile.

Currently my SRT output for a h264 encode uses the Main profile - I can see where to set this for the stream output settings but there's no similar settings for the SRT output as far as I can tell. Same goes for the keyframe interval, I'd like to set it to 2s but I don't see where it's possible to do that for a SRT output.

Is it possible to set the encoding parameters such as h264 profile and keyframe interval for a SRT output?

Thanks!

SRT does not use the same type of encoding parameters as RTMP

RTMP is FLV based for the transport "container"
SRT is basically MPEG TS

The way they work is totally different although they both can use the same codecs for transport.

yeah....

The keyframe/gop interval and H264 profile is a setting on the encoder and is what I am asking about. It's got nothing to do with srt/rtmp - however it is configurable in VMIX for rtmp streams but is not for SRT streams.

It would be nice to have the same level of encoder configuration/control for srt as we have for rtmp.

So your comment is correct, but irrelevant to my question completely.

Cheers,
Simon.

Another +1 for more setting on SRT outputs -- particularly the keyframe interval. I'm not sure why the (non-changeable) default is 1s, surely if there is to be no choice in this then 2s would be a better default?
