Can't find much discussion on this, but it would be super helpful if the Preview window had it's own defined input number.
Ideal for shortcuts such as SetMultiViewOverlay where you want to change the multiview overlay to multiple different sources.

                not understanding.
its a preview of an input , why would this having a number be of benefit ?
the shortcut you are referring to has the functionality to change the source = input of a layer

We have shows with up to 100 pieces of tape. Instead of creating individual shortcuts for each tape that needs to be swapped in the multiview, it would be amazing to just have a single shortcut with the input parameters as the preview window. |

easy . shortcut calling a script that checks which input is in preview and instructs it to change it in the multiview or whatever you want to do with that input |

For what it's worth the input reference number for preview is "0". |
