We produce video history interviews of retired professors (500 and counting) and have used Vmix since 2016 to manage three cameras and two mic inputs for post production editing. Have loved it, though we barely use its capabilities. Now facing the need to continue the project remotely, we have encountered problems implementing a production. We have used Vmix call to connect to two remote subjects and tried to set it up so they can see each other while the caller (producer) can display both subjects on the broadcast screen, either as a split screen (multiscreen) or as a single subject. When the remote subjects first log into vMix call, each has a screen showing the other subject as full screen except for a small window showing themself in the upper left corner of the screen. But once the producer puts the call video for one of those subjects into the output window, that subject sees himself both in the fullscreen and in the upper left window. Sometimes, the upper left window disappears. We haven’t discovered a way to control this presentation but we would prefer that both subjects see the other in full screen and themselves in the upper left window. What are we doing wrong?

We would also like to record input streams for post-production editing. For the call inputs, we can open an NDI/Capture input for each and those inputs are recorded when multicorder is turned on. But if we create one or more multiview inputs, we don't seem to be able to record them.

Hi Bill,

Sounds like you haven't mapped a different output to each call.
When you create the vmix call you are given the option of what video source it will use for the return video, same for audio. Set this to be output 3 on one call and output 4 on the other. Then set output 3 to look at the second call and output 4 to look at the first.
The feed will n ver change unless you change what's going to either of those outputs.

Hope that solves the issue for you.
