Good day all -

I have searched through the forums on a couple keywords (PTZ Optics, vMix NDI) but I am afraid I am not familiar enough find what I am looking for. I am certainly not new to Technology, but I am in the world of streaming and cameras. We will be needing to stream several educational events in the coming weeks and I was trying to avoid a bunch of wires and cabling so I found B&H photo (US store) and worked with them online to acquire equipment:

2 x PTZ Optics PT12X-NDI
1 x PTZ Optics IP Super Controller
1 x Ubiquiti 8 Port PoE (60W) Switch
1 x vMix 4K, version 23.0.0.54 x64

Here is what I put together:

- Static IP on controller - 10.10.50.100 / 255.255.0.0
- Static IP on Cameras - 10.10.50.101/102 /255.255.0.0
- Surface Pro Laptop on docking station with static IP
- All plugged into switch with LAN uplink

Here is what I struggling with:

- I can see cameras and controller via browser, no problem
- I installed the NDI Tools, NDI drivers
- For the life of me, vMix cannot see the cameras

I have tried disabling firewall on Surface (running Windows 10 / 1903). Just feeling a bit lost here... was hoping (silly I know) that it would "just work". I am also working with vMix support, but am wondering if I need to do something else with other software? I have also tried vMix Desktop Capture, but it doesn't see the cameras either.

Any insight or thoughts would be most appreciated.

Regards,
xaver

If you can see the cameras from NDI Studio Monitor on the computer that has vMix installed but you cant see the cameras in vMix the only thing I can think of is to check your firewall. Disable the firewall temporarily on that computer and try again. If successful, you will have to recreate firewall rules for the vMix executable or leave the firewall off permanently. In either case, report back.

Carefully shooting in the dark, because you wrote "cannot see cameras": They will come into vMix as NDI inputs, not camera inputs.

@RSD IT any luck figuring out your issue? I stopped by today to help my father with his new NDI equipment. I am more familiar with networking. I have set static IP's on my 3 cameras. I can reach the devices and change settings. I can see the video through NDI Studio Monitor. But no luck when I use vMix. I've installed NDI tools on 2 separate computers. When I start the NDI Test Patterns on Computer #2. I can see the NDI signal on vMix. I'm not sure where I've gone wrong.

All I've done with the camera's is set static IP and turned on NDI.
