For NDI only systems that have no direct capture, is the X299 still recommended over AMD processors?

https://www.vmix.com/kno.../amd-cpu-support-in-vmix

The knowledge base mentions PCI express lane count and memory channels in the consideration for CPU, specifically use of the X299 series. However, my assumption is that the lane count is for handling a high direct capture count and has no effect on NDI capability. As for memory, certainly 4 channels is better but all the posts I have encountered comment on CPU limitations not necessarily memory.

Can anyone comment on this?
