Hello dear vMix Community,

i hope someone can help me - i have a strange problem with vmix.
VMix was working fine, everything good.

One day i startet vmix and it changes my network settings so i was not able to use my browser anymore. when i wanted to open any page (crazy thing that only all the google pages are working) it said it cant connect to the server of this page. Doesnt matter what page except google stuff.
I had an internet connection f.e. zoom was working fine. Whatsapp Desktop was not able to connect to the internet as well as thunderbird.

Even when i stopped vmix all the changes where still there so big problems with the internet connection. Seems like there is a changing in my network settings when starting vmix.

Here is how i solve the problem:
I run the commandtool and inser the following text:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

after restarting my computer I can use my browser as usual without any problems.
But after starting vmix again, the problem is back!

So my question how can I reset the vmix settings and everything? uninstall and reinstall? I hope the changes are made in vmix to my network settings, probably the firewall is doing something when starting vmix? any good network guy here? I dont unterstand exactly whats happening with the commandline input. maybe someone can figure out whats happeneing here.

thanks for your help!

vMix does not change your PC's IP address. There is something else going on on your network causing this, most probably at your router. Check the lease time on your DHCP server. ipconfig /renew asks for a new address. Also look at assigning a static IP to your PC and set a reservation for that address in the IP range on the DHCP server.
