Hello I have two older Sony cameras connected to the laptop with firewire ports, the vMix program recognizes them as “Microsoft dv camera and recoder vcr” one of them I can be added as input, unfortunately, the other one has the error "DV pin could not be found AddNewInput: Input_Capture”
Has anyone encountered such a mistake and is able to help ??? I was looking for a similar case in the forum, unfortunately I did not find :( Thank you for your help :)

Goral, If you have two identical firewire capture devices or one with multiple ports and identical cameras then Windows cannot determine which input is which, so only one gets seen. The solution may be get a second firewire capture card (different brand and/or model). We have successfully used four firewire cameras using four separate capture cards all different models.
This situation also occurs with USB cameras, it happens when using two or more identical USB cameras (typically webcams), sometimes two will work if they use different USB controllers, at least that has been our experience. Steve, StreamBreeze.net

Hello Steve.
Thank you for the answer ... I already specify in my laptop one firewire input and the other through a pci express card I don't think they would be compatible but in the device manager I see them under one item "imaging devices" and they both are visible. Could you somehow solve my problem ???
Thank you for your help :)

If both cameras are the exact same model that may be your problem.
Which edition of the software are you running Free/SD/HD Basic/HD? Have you checked that both firewire (ports) and cameras are working independantly by plugging in one camera into each port in turn and repeating with the second camera? You need to verify this as Firewire ports are notorious for failing usually where they are soldered to the motherboard on a laptop, or more likely on the camera end where the cables get yanked on and causes a bad connection inside the camera.

Yes, both cameras are the same companies and the same models.
Tests the program in free edition.
Yes, both ports are connected correctly because both cameras can be seen in the system and device manager ... both are visible as "Microsoft dv camera and recoder vcr" Can I change the detected camera in the system ? maybe it would help vmix software to get the camera correctly ??? What do you think ???
Goral
