I'm the recently appointed head of production at my church. We currently run vMix on a laptop with a handful of NDI sources. I'm expecting that our needs will grow in the short to mid-term time-frame and I'm looking to make sure I have something in place that can handle future growth. I'd like a shallow-depth rack mount solution (our networking rack is right next to our production booth) with at least two 10Gb ports to accommodate extra video bandwith. I found the SuperMicro 5018D-FN8T and I'm curious if anyone has any initial thoughts on it as a capable video switcher. Thanks in advance!

This won't house or power a decent GPU which is very important for vmix. CPU is also very weak. It is not meant to run things like vmix. If you only have one unit of rack space, your options will be limited I think.

Thanks for the reply! My biggest limitation is space. I can certainly do a taller unit but my rack depth is quite limited as is the amount of space I have in the production booth itself (hence the desire for a rack mount unit).
