I would love to see the option in vmix call to use audio from xsplit or OBS instead of just a microphone. Not sure if this is a Vmix issue or limitations with the browsers. I can use xsplit as a camera source so why not audio as well.

Because Neither OBS, xSplit or vMix has build-in virtual audio devices.
To do as you describe, you just have to install a virtual audio cable and use that to link OBS/xSplit outputs as audio source into vMix Call.
