Hello,

This question may have been asked but I can't seem to find it.

Is there a possibility of a sound box with vMix?
Either in the form of a list where all the sounds are inside and choose one from the list by means of a shortcut, or if you have to make an entry by sound file.

I tried with a list and choose a sound from this list with the command "Play" but without success.

Currently I simulate a sound box with my Streamdeck and its integrated reading. But I wanted to see if it was not easier to manage with vMix.

Michael.
(Excuse me for this Google Translate)

@ MickeyMJJ

If I have understood you correctly, simply add all your sound files to a List Input.

Here is a thread about problems using a List with shortcuts to single items for playing out background music or overlays:

https://forums.vmix.com/...ut-not-working#post71830

The link points to post #10, that is probably what you want to do. There is a possible workaround in post #13, for 4K and Pro editions of vMix.

If you need help, let me know.

You want something like a Shotbox for Jingles Right?

Native in VMix try this:

Add an New Input Audio (Not Audio Input) select the sound clip if your choice.

In the mixer Tab Route the Input to the desired audio bus. Now make shure to activate the speaker symbol for that audio input in the mixer field. You can leave the Audio Follow attached but it will also work with detached auto audio follow.
Now click the small play Button on the video Mixer sider of that Sound clip. (Never press Cut or Trans!)

For hotkey/Shortcuts map: ! Play ! to the control of your choice, and select the desired video input.

You are done.

Second Solution:

Use an Ableton instance as a Clip launcher whis is far more supperior if you want to automatize playback or have fun with loops ( Boiling teecettle with ramp up to whistle loop, and a second trigger if it gets taken from the stovetop)

Route the audio on the way it is best for your Needs via Audiointerface or an networked virtual Audiointerface.

Have Fun
