NDI audio latency

simply sending 1 vmix install to another via local network (1G - both wired) and tested ping between two devices is < 1ms. Video comes over looking fantastic, but audio is at least two seconds or more behind. Tried to set SRT instead but cannot get second system to see first that way, so reverted to NDI.
Looked at all the settings in Output under settings on sending system, no dice. Anything to look at on receiving system to get better audio throughput and less latency?
Played with NDI Desktop Capture on second system...just to send simple desktop and audio, and that was a mess too. HELP
