Just a very quick question.
I have our own license and our church just purchased a license to utilize Vmix. WE are planning on streaming Bible study to our streaming service for Wednesdday Evening Bible Studies fro our pastors house.
Is it possible for me to stream something to the same destination and then he would stream from his house after I completed my stream without losing anything?
I guess what I am looking for is something like the TV networks do, broadcast from two different locations but to the same source

Thanks in advance for any answers and help. Stay safe and healthy

Spencer

It might depend on the platform you are using but you can do this on YouTube if you use the same stream key.

You can stream from one location, stop the stream from that location when you are done, then start the stream from a different location (using the same stream key). When you are 'Live', your viewers will get a freeze of your last stream while they wait for the new stream to begin. It will edit the two streams together when you do a future playback. You won't get any freezing between the two streams.

Note: Don't turn off your stream on the Youtube Studio until you are finished both presentations.

Hope that helps,

cheers,
Richard

An extra note to what raugert said

on YT if you started a stream on the second location (same key) after the first started it will sort of stay on hold and will jump over to the second location when the first stops transmitting (and vice versa).
Essentially one doesn't have to "wait" to start from the second location. Have used it as a backup "sorry having technical difficulties" for when the first one "fails" for example
