Hi!

We're having some difficulty with vMix call handling multiple participants on a call.

As opposed to just letting each participant talk over each other, it seems to do some sort of cancellation where it's cancelling each other out.

Here's an example from something we produced today: https://youtu.be/DbGboHAeB7Q?t=990

Is this a WebRTC issue? Perhaps something to do with echo cancellation? Or something on vMIx's end that we can switch off/adjust? We're loving the quality and latency, but it seems a bit problematic when you have multiple people involved in the call.

Cheers!

Hi,

So in vMix, vMix Call does not have any echo cancellation or audio ducking and is always full duplex.

However if a guest is using a browser such as Chrome, that browser can employ its own echo cancellation
which can duck the volume if the microphone they are using is picking up noise from the guest's earphones.

My guess would be that is what is happening with the bottom left guest, as the Yeti microphone is positioned
to pick up audio from the EarPods while the other guests are using enclosed headphones and/or they are using vMix.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Martin
