Using vMix 21 on Windows 10. Also using Windows 7 with NDI Desktop Capture to send PowerPoint slides to vMix. When not streaming, vMix gets the PowerPoint slides (via NDI) in sub-second time. But, when streaming (custom RTMP), PowerPoint slides take 20 to 30 seconds to appear in vMix. Any ideas what could cause such a significant latency problem?

What is your NIC speed 100 or 1000?
Are you able to monitor packet fragmentation. You might want to check MTU and MSS.
Maybe try changing the MTU to something like 1450 might give you better results already.

The problem now appears to be related to running NDI over wifi vs. wired ethernet. Looks like wired ethernet is the way to go.

Yes, for full NDI a wired 1Gig connection is recommended. A single NDI feed has approx. 120 mbit/s in Bandwidth. If you need or want to send NDI over Wifi make sure to use the NDI|HX which is a more compressed feed with a much lower bandwidth.
