I know it has already been asked as a feature request more than a year ago and it can be done with adding them as images and you must be extremely busy fixing other important things but...
I still think it would be REALLY HELPFUL to be able to change shape colours directly in GT Title Designer.
Just reminding you again Martin, if you have an ounce of spare time :)

Peter I can not make much out in your video, is that GTZip...how are you getting access to the colours, as backgrounds do not show up in the editor?
Can you please elaborate a bit more?
I am talking about larger backgrounds, circles triangles etc, and not just changing a special character.

Yes, made with GTZip.
The characters are not backgrounds, but fonts.
You can easy create your own font with online tools like Fontark or local with Fontforge(open source)
Then add your font to your project and change the colors in a textfield.

Or you can wait, until this will maybe once be possible in VMIX.

Ah right, yes I know how to make fonts etc as I own Fontself..
I would like backgrounds/shapes changeable, as it would make things much easier....why I am sort of asking Martin VERY NICELY to consider it once more :)

+1

This would be helpful in a number of circumstances like the background of a scoreboard (set it to a team color in title editor), ticker backgrounds for normal vs "alert" messages, etc., etc.

Doesn't seem like it would be a huge job - just exposing an already existing parameter.
