I've always used "Create Virtual Input" to clone an input (although this has been a clumsy solution to be honest.) I would then rename the input and be off to the races.

Now, for some reason I cannot comprehend, a copied virtual input contains the prefix "Virtual-" which I CANNOT CHANGE. This completely messes up my naming schema and for the life of me cannot comprehend why this "feature" was added.

Is there any way to turn off this behavior? It is a major hassle and of no benefit to me.

Thanks!

Bill

Oddly enough, the only time it DOES NOT add the "Virtual-" prefix to the input is if I am cloning a Virtual Stage.

Again, why is this being forced upon us?

I saw this and had to try.
We use this technique regularly. It seems you are right now, BUT our workflow normally involves the "change" button after you clone the input this way. If you do "change" to a different source the virtual name goes away.

My 2 cents.

Ah thanks for that. I just need to change the source and the "Virtual -" goes away. I guess they made it hat way as a remind you still needed to set the source.

Appreciate it.
