I have just recently updated to Mac OS Catalina and now my vMix Desktop Capture NDI is not working. We have a Mac used for presenting at our church, and we have vMix on a Windows 10 computer. I have updated vMix to the latest version and downloaded the latest version of the desktop capture software as well, and all I have on the Windows vMix is a black screen. We used to use Display 2 but that is not working now.

Any suggestions?

You could try the NDI scan converter app to send the desktop via NDI

you could check if your mac has its wifi turned on at the same time as sharing your NDI Source over the IP network. I had a black screen recently as well, and as soon as I killed Wifi the NDI source updated correctly, once the source is live you can turn wifi back on.

I recently loaded Catalina on an old Mac Mini that I keep on-hand for support. No issues.

After updating the to Catalina on this week, we are having the same problem with the same setup in our church here in North Carolina...We iMac to PC setup. Very frustrating. I have tried everything to include the same steps mentioned in this post. Apple and vMix support are not helpful. We probably should've not updated to Catalina...but I like having the latest software for a variety of reasons.

Any updates on what we can do to fix this issue.
