Also posted this at the idiots group...but, please someone help save my sanity.
DatachangeIn and DatachangeOut has always bothered me, I always thought I understood it... so today I spent quite a bit of time trying to find out what was going on.

I am at the conclusion that it is named incorrectly. (Opposite) As you can see in the video I have set it as in the following picture. DatachangeIn, its going to fly to the left for 3 seconds...then DatachangeOut, it will fly from the top right, in within 0.5 of a second. Which surely means DatachangeIn and DatahangeOut should be opposite...no? Please someone try and explain to me why I am wrong, and it is perfectly correct?

When a DataChance is happening, the steps are as I understand the following:

DataChange => DataChangeOut --> DataChangeIn --> Complete!

How would you describe a datachangein or out though?
It also seems to me that to stop any confusion you need a datachangein and datachangeout together, it can get messed up if you only have one happening.
I would have thought that the datachangeout, would be the 3 seconds in the example, and the datachangein would have been the 0.5 half second with the new data coming in?

The order is exactly the same as TransitionIn/Out, but with animations running reverse.

Every time data updates, the DataChangeIn transition is run, then the data is actually updated, then DataChangeOut is run.

The default "direction" of animations is reversed compared to TransitionIn/Out though by design.
This makes sense if you think about it because everything is already on screen before DataChangeIn, while everything is off screen
prior to a TransitionIn.

Martin
