Would appreciate any assistance with this. I have a shortcut that advances the selection point in the List Editor, see below, using the NextItem command. However, what seems to be happening is that while the “next item” is indeed emboldened, see item no 3 in the list, the orange selection bar does not actually move on. This results in the same video playing repeatedly, i.e. the first video in the list shown. Any advice very welcome. Image1.jpg (67kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

Thanks, Doggy, much appreciated.
OK, starting with a blank preset. Add a List input, five videos. “Auto Next” disabled. Assign key N to NextItem on List input, Video: Current Assign key P to ListplayOut, same List, video: Current Both local shortcuts
The above works correctly AS LONG AS no video is manually selected with the cursor, i.e. the orange selection bar is not showing. However, as soon as any video is manually selected, that is the only video that will then play with the P / ListplayOut command, irrespective of whatever emboldened video is selected by the N / NextItem action.

when an item is playing and do nextitem all is fine when i select other item with mouse i need to playout first)in order to make it play) then all is fine for the nextitem (after the clicked one) else it continues from the previous one ( ignores the new mouse selected one )
For the rest ignore the orange line ;-)

Don’t follow, I’m afraid, Doggy :)
If you’re saying that a cursor-selected item must play out fully before the next item can be successfully played using NextItem, then that’s not the behaviour I’m seeing.
Once an item is selected manually with the cursor, that is the only item that will play using ListplayOut Current. Surely this isn’t intentional?

No , i meant to say : if one selects another clip form the list one has to activate playout f1rst to make it play and in turn that makes nextitem work appropriatly (next video after the manually choosen one)

Anyway i double checked
shortcut Listplayout (current)
shortcut NextItem
and all works as supposed to select item -> playout -> next item
are you sure you havent for example accidentally used the same key for another shortcut or anything like that ?

No, not the behaviour I'm seeing. Once a list item is selected manually and the orange highlight shows, then that's the only one that will play using NextItem.
I do need this to work properly. Any further advice very welcome.

Very helpful and prompt advice from vMix support on this. I was using the wrong Play command on the List. “While the "NextItem" Shortcut advances to the next emboldened clip for playing, to play that clip, you would need to use the "Play" Shortcut set to "Current" clip in the List. The "ListPlayOut" Shortcut is for playing out the Playlist (usually the entire List or a good portion of it) and the start point is determined by the orange highlight, so whatever is highlighted in orange will be where the Playout starts.” Thanks for sorting me out on this!

That is great that its sorted but i am wondering as Quote: However, as soon as any video is manually selected, and Quote: the start point is determined by the orange highlight Did you NOT select manually from the list then as i did hence not working ? (manually selecting a clip WITHIN the LIST highlights it) update: weird when i replaced the LISTPLAYOUT shortcut with PLAY (both set to current) its not working confused

Not generally, no. There are so many videos in the list that it’s far easier simply to simply issue the NextItem command via the keyboard rather than use the mouse. The difference between selecting an item (highlight) and emboldening is quite subtle, and maybe could be explained in slightly more detail in the User Guide. However, anyone having the same issue can simply search the forum, and find this answer.
