GTX1080 or Quadro p4000 with vmix

We are using vmix to make live broadcast of e-sports, so we often use a lot of PNG sequences, GT NDI and so on, which need a lot of computer resource performance. We are using gtx1080 graphics card. Now we want to ask Quadro p4000 which is more suitable for vmix use than gtx1080

I do the same and use both cards yet tend to favor the quadro's but not for the reasons you might think. Also are we talking 1080ti or 1080? Regardless i favor the quadro p4000 for the following reasons:
1. Cheaper than the 1080ti yet does the same job just as well in our workflow 2. uses less power and produces less heat than the 1080ti 3. size! its only a single slot and that goes a long way in our SFF builds 4. Can do more than 2 hardware encodings unlike the GTC\RTX line that can only do 2. NOTE: you can get around this with a bios hack on the 1080ti and use both of its encoder chips. It works. but due to reasons above i still use my quadro's 5. more stable drivers

Do you need >2 simultaneous hardware encodes? If so, go w/ a Quadro. Driver hacks aren't guaranteed to work forever.
Would suggest an RTX 4000 over a P4000. Turing arch has quite significantly upgraded H264/H265 encoder silicon.

This is notable and profoundly interesting. It means that a P4000 would update my Compulab Airtop PC, which has just one slot. Or it could be installed into the newest Intel Quartz Canyon NUC. That would leave one 4x PCIe slot for a capture card in a modest form factor.

I’m a fan of quadro cards but for other reasons: 1. Stability, yes, are more stable, i have 6 systems upgraded from geforce, and now with quadro they have less problems. 2. Custom edids. A must for live shows 3. Sync between 4 outputs. Important if you use media server software. And want to blend different outputs 4. Can use external sync card, not common 5. Some software need quadro
In the other part can not compare p4000 power with gtx1080. P4000 power is like gtx1060 or 1070 mini. If you have enough budget, p5000 is better choice. Because can encode double of streams than p4000. P4000 is for 6-7 encoders, and p5000 can do 12-14.

Intel NUC9 or Ghost/Quartz Canyon have an 8 inch length limitation on the discreet graphics card slot and I think the RTX4000 and P4000 have a 9.5 inch length. At least the PNY models do. If anyone knows of a 4000 series Quadro that is 8 inches in length I would love to know. The P2000 is 7.9 inches in length so will fit nicely into the new NUC9's, less powerful but still a good option over a GTX or even RTX Gaming card as it has unlimited encodes as opposed to a limit of 2 on the gaming cards. The Canyon NUC with a P4000 is interesting, but sounds like length could be an issue?

The latest version of vmix23.0.51 feels that it has higher requirements on the graphics card. It often takes up more than 60% of the 3D and memory of the graphics card. I'm gtx1080
So now I plan to change an rtx4000. Will this situation be improved
