Auto OverlayInput1Out for the previous input, when you turn on OverlayInput1In for a new input while OverlayInput1 is already running for the previous input

Now, if overlay1 is already working and I turn on overlay1 for another input, the old input goes out through CUT, and the new one overlays with the IN effect.
I would like the old input to exit smoothly with the OUT effect tied to it, and in parallel the new input will enter the overlayIn.

Without scripts =)

+1 Yes and improvement here would be great. Currently it will flash to the main input behind the overlays during the OverlayIn processing, which doesn't look professional. The only workaround is to overlay with a higher number over top, then out the previous one. But then we start running out of overlays.

Also it would be great if you could preview an overlay on the same layer, while there is already an overlay on in the Program/Output.

For example: I have a host live, with a headline below (Overlay 1). I prepare the next headline in the Preview (Overlay 1). I run a stinger. After the stinger the new headline appears in program.
