Hello everybody. I wanted to ask if Vmix works as an encoder srt? Another question: do you need an intermediate server to send and receive with the SRT protocol, between two PCs with Vmix?

It's in beta at the moment and should be released in the next weeks. And no, you do not need an intermediate server. One vMix can receive an SRT stream from another. Regards Seb

Thanks, that would be a great thing. Only that I sail in the dark. I have a satellite modem with a static ip address, and I could also have a 4g connection but without a static ip. A tutorial would be needed to explain how to make the connection, on the encoder side, and on the decoder side. Thank you very much for your answer, I can't wait to take a test. Thanks again.

I'm trying to do exactly this setup.
Create a remote srt server with 10gbps bandwidth where vmix client send the video stream and where clients can connect to ready srt signal to distribuite easy the available signals.
But the reality is that the srt technology need to set for each connection the destination.. (the receiver) therefore this is completely out of an easy management.. and need a lot of complex configurations and management... (Unfortunately )
With rtmp all this is really fast but the latency reach usually 3 second one way (6 second send return) and this is completely unacceptable

I think that if VMIX stuff will embed in vmix software an openvpn udp server for delivery the NDI will be more easy :)
