I have successfully made a caller listener connection.

Over the Internet I have opened a port, and forward it to the vMix computer on the router.

Over local network it also worked without opening any ports.

How do I use rendezvous?
And what are its benefits, does it have anything to do with the firewall, I haven't tweaked my firewall so far.

Is there an option to make an SRT connection without opening any ports over the Internet?
(and Without doing port forwarding)

Rendezvous can be used to connect two points without needing to open up ports on the firewall.
(For most consumer/prosumer routers anyway, corporate networks will likely still need to be manually opened)

Important: Rendezvous is for other the internet only, it will not work on the same machine for testing purposes at all.

1. Set Rendezvous as the Type on both ends
2. Set the same port on both ends (can be anything you like, the default of 5000 is usually fine)
3. On computer 1, set the public IP address of computer 2 as the hostname.
4. On computer 2, set the public IP address of computer 1 as the hostname.

Once setup, almost like magic they will connect without having to open up ports!

Well, Rendezvous works beautifully

The way you explained it here
is much clearer than in the help file..

Please please please add SRT interlaced video support
Even if it means using only the CPU
I am in a interlaced video environment

Or maybe add a yadif x2 deinterlace
To convert 50i video to 50p VMIX mode

Hi!
Please please please add SRT interlaced video support!!!
Even if it means using only software encoding.
I am in a interlaced video environment to.
And for now 1080i is production standart in TV Broadcasting.

Just add string with able to enter additional encoding parameters:
usally enough to add "-aspect 16:9 -profile:v main -flags +ildct+ilme+cgop -top 1"
Thanks!
