Hi Team! Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a conversion box. I need to go 1080p50 from the External via SDI and convert this to a 1080i50 signal. It needs to be clean with no flicker just a simple frame for field interpretation so correct reading of the Hz in and Hz out. cameras generally do this conversion flawlessly internally but I have tried a Blackmagic UpDownCross and makes a complete hash of the conversion. I am hoping someone has experience with Decimator or AJA devices with regards to this simple conversion. Thanks heaps in advance. Dave.

For those interested the Decimator MD-HX does an excellent job of this conversion. Tested one today and after adjusting a couple of settings the output is clean and sharp and motion is smooth with no smear or flicker. This device easily out performs the Blackmagic Design UpDownCross by a long way indeed. Purchased and problem solved.
