I'm sick of Skype and trying to configure Zoom to bring guests into my stream. I've tried following the instructions from the knowledge base but the directions are not very clear. https://www.vmix.com/kno...h-return-video-and-audioIt seems to be suggesting that I need to have vMix running on both PC's...tried that, doesn't work and doesn't make sense. Does anyone have a clear, easy to understand guide to setting this up on a dual system? I've been doing this with Skype so I have all the related stuff (...VB cables, NDI, NDI virtual input, etc) Help!!

The YT video was vMix >>> Zoom. If you want Zoom >>> vMix the process is a little different. Since you say "using NDI" I'll consider that first. VideoOn the Zoom PC run vMix Desktop Capture. This will collect the local screen (and audio) making it available as an NDI stream. On the vMix PC add an the NDI stream as an input. AudioThere is an audio path in the NDI path from the Zoom PC to vMix. The sound from the Zoom session should be part of that NDI stream. You voice is NOT coming from the Zoom session. You will need to send your Voice to the Zoom session AND add it to the vMix project. I would do this using VoiceMeeter Banana on the Zoom PC. Your microphone to be sent to (1) Zoom and (2) Virtual output #1. The Zoom sound send to (1) Virtual output #1 and (2) your headphones/speakers NDI Desktop Capture would be set to use Voicemeeter Virtual Output #1 as the audio source. Thus Zoom+your voice would be combined in vMix.
This process is quite taxing on the PC hosting the Zoom session. You're basically screen-scraping the display to create the NDI stream. It would be easier on the host computers to use an HDMI capture dongle and patch the Zoom PC right into vMix as as source, skipping the NDI process. The World of Live Streaming guys do this every week. They use Zoom to have the panel assembled, vMix to stream the result to YouTube and elsewhere. It's WAY, WAY, SO MUCH EASIER to add a guest using vMix Call.

Hi
Have a short test with zoom. Zoom on my PC with 2nd monitor and vMix. Start zooming. Settings (Cogwheel) - General - Content sharing: Use dual monitors. Start a new meeting. Participant on monitor 2. Select in Zoom Camera: vMix Video Microphone: Line (New Tek NDI Audio) Speaker: Speaker (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)
In vMix:
vMix Desktop Capture for NDI - Start
Add Input - Local Desktop Shot - Zoom Meetings Start externally.
New Tek NDI Virtual Input: - vMix Desktop Capture NDI
In vMix, add input. Audio Input - Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)
Invite participants.
As I said, that was a quick test, which has worked so far with me.
Greeting
Edit: Participant was using smartphone

BINGO!! Thanks! That was clear enough. My problem was I didn't realize that 'vMix Desktop Capture' was an add on utility that needed to be launched...I thought it launched when you boot vMix. Question...when I pull up the NDI feed on input on PC #2, I get the entire desktop rather than just a separate window for the Zoom call. Occationally I pull in 2 maybe 3 guests and need to reposition the individual windows to fit behind the alpha channel overlay I built for the output display. In Skype, each window comes up as a separate capture. Can this be done with this Zoom/vMix Desktop Capture setup??...am I missing something?
