Is it possible to create a round picture-in-picture in vMix?

I recall seeing someone with a round PIP of themself talking inside a screenshare/desktop-capture of a webpage — and they said they were using vMix, so trying to figure out howe (if) it's possible.

Thanks!

Great to hear it's doable, but after a day+ of trying everything I could think of I can't see how Colour Key can change the shape of a Picture-in-Picture camera shot. My intention is to place this round PIP of my talking head over a browser Desktop Capture or Powerpoint Presentation.

I've tried creating an image in photoshop without a circle knocked-out into transparency and exported as a png. When I create the input in vMix that png file needs to be in a MiltiView layer above (higher number) the camera shot in order to mask out the rest of the camera image and turn the talking head camera shot into a circle. However the Colour Key feature in an input only seems to work on the base layer in the input ("base layer" meaning the image or source that the input was created from, not any MultiView layers on top pf it.

So How do I Colour Key a MiltiView Layer, or how do I create a new input in vMix with a base layer from the composited "Camera Source + green field with transparent circle image file".

Thanks, really stuck. Massively appreciate the help!

Create an image that is a white circle on a black background.
Add it as in input in vMix.
For most flexibility create a virtual input of your camera shot.
On that virtual input go to Colour Key and set the Key/Fill Input to the black and white circle image.
That input will now show with the circle mask and can be overlaid over inputs using the multiview/overlays/etc

very easy
create a title in GT Title with a white circle only, no background.
save it as circle and load the circle title as input. (in my example Input3)
now you create a virtual input of your camera. (in my example Input4 is a Virtual copy of Input 1)
go to color key of input 4, choose in the bottom field KEY/FILL INPUT your circle input, thats it.
you can overlay then this input over your powerpoint.
with position settings of input 4 you can move and zoom your circle.
round key.PNG (519kb) downloaded 30 time(s).
