I am running a production environment with 5 vMix workstations (and increasing) and need a
way to distribute settings to all workstations. Doing this through modifying a vMix .config
file (as exported from settings) would be a great power tool from an IT maintenance perspective.

Simply being able to launch vmix.exe -c mysettings.config would enable us to have vMix launch from a custom shortcut or as part of the startup batch script when booting the PC and it would be all set and ready to go :)

Just store the config file on for example Microsoft OneDrive and sync all workstations with that account. The beauty is that your config file is kept locally on the workstation so you can use it offline. Once the file is changed onedrive will sync it and all workstations will have the new config.

I agree that vmix should start thinking about multi-user environments more as they get into larger and larger workflows replacing other systems but as Mavik said we simply use a onedrive type solution where images and everything is put up online and synced to a common drive such as Z: where all our installs read from.

not as nice as being able to command line or having a more integrated multi-user environment but with vmix there is always a way and a little ingenuity saves you from having to open up the wallet more :)
