I am new to VMix and have been ask to look into an audio delay issue.
Our organization is using VMix to record and present live demonstrations. Recording is not a problem but the audio during the live demo is out of sync with the video.
They have dynamic mics going to a mixer and the output going to VMix and the PA speakers. My thinking is that the mixer output should be converted to USB (MIC 2 USB) and controlled by VMix USB input. Where should the PA feed come from?

Have you tried using Delay under Audio Settings?

That precludes using the audio delay in VMix. Another issue is that they are feeding the PA speakers from the mic mixer and not from the computer speaker output. The lip sync is very bad when viewed by a live audience. At least that is my thought as to why so much lip sync problem. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Delay will effect the audio no matter if it is a USB connection from a mixer or if the mixer's output is physically plugged into the computer with a cable (3.5mm). You can have "lip-sync" issues with USB mixers too because they aren't synced with camera.
Did you try Delay?

Hello,
As I understand it, he goes from the microphone mixer with the audio directly to the PA. Not on the PC and then in the PA.
Thus the audio is faster than the picture.

Did you try Delay? I have tried the delay and it does nothing with the mixer plugged into the computer audio card input. But as elvis55 mentioned, the mixer is feeding the PA directly thus the delay. My idea is to feed the output of the mixer (USB) to the computer. This should allow audio delay with VMix. Next take the PA feed from the computer speaker output.
