Hi all,

When recording - what is the quickest way to start a new file ?

I ask, because we regularly get requested to record presentations during a broadcast.
But we need to break up the sessions into their individual speakers.

With other software we've used it's relatively simple, a click on a button, and it starts writing a new file (with a number appended to differentiate it).

Just dont want to use other software - when we've got vMix.

That would certainly tick another one of the boxes for us !

Thanks again,

Pete

Thanks for your response !

Dont know if I explained correctly - or maybe I misunderstood ...

With software we currently use - we can be recording a session and, rather than stopping and starting recording (which takes a few seconds/milliseconds (depending on the trigger finger !) and (possibly) missing something, we just simply click a 'switch file' button - it continues recording, but with a different filename.

Thus, quickly breaking it into separate files and missing nothing.

Can vMix do this ?

Thanks again,

Pete
