Hi everyone,
can someone help me find the best solution for my lower third/data problem? I will use different kinds of lower thirds for a sports broadcast I want to show some player lower thirds filled with static (logos, images, names, …) and live data (e.g. shots on goal, …). I am getting the live data via JSON, therefore I’m using data sources to insert those data. Every player will be a single row and there will be an instance for the home and another one for the away team. There will be many different types of lower thirds (goal, penalty, stats, basic player information) and all 4 types of lower thirds will be connected to the JSON data that are used within those graphics. My problem is the usability: The only way to change the player is to go to the tab in data sources and select the player I want to show, which is a little bit fiddly if it’s on the same computer/one person doing it.
I have two question: Is there another way right now to make this work? Is it possible to outsource the data source selection to another computer?
And a feature requests: It’s possible to right click on the graphics and choose the content, when static data is imported. Would it be possible to somehow make this also possible for data sources? Or maybe something like: rightclick -> type in player number -> enter or rightclick -> type in first 3 letters of players lastname -> enter The columns that are connected to the search should be pre configurable.
This way a single user could still be able to change the data relatively stress free.
