Hi,

I use decklink quad for inputs into my Vmix software. From the start everything worked perfectly fine until recently when the 4th input keep giving me error that "input device is not supported" meanwhile I have not changed cameras or anything. Besides all the other 3 inputs are still working with my set of cameras. I have checked for updates and reinstalled software but I keep getting the same error. Is there anything I need to do? I have been using it with my latest JVC proHD cameras.

Hi Martin,

That is that it says "Capture device is not supported. Device reported the following: capture". I wanted to attach a screenshot of it but I couldn't do so here.

Thanks.

It sounds like a possible driver error.
Try first uninstalling the decklink driver and confirm that the decklink video capture devices have been removed from the list.
Then reboot and install again.

If that doesn't work confirm you can use the fourth input in Media Express, if not the hardware might be faulty.

Martin

Thanks Martin, with all the inputs working well with BMME I rather decided to reinstall Vmix software and that has resolved it.

Hello Martin, I have just observed something that I want to bring to your notice. Concerning my input 4 not working, when I installed the Vmix 12 everything was ok and it was working well. But I noticed that Vmix 12 preview and output pictures were very pixilated making it difficult for me to judge the picture quality of my work so I removed Vmix 12 and re-installed Vmix 11.0.0.66. Problem is the input 4 is giving the same errors again. So what could be happening here?

You may need to take a screenshot so I can see? Check the settings as they might be reset in vMix 12, for example Preview Size should be set to Auto.
