Hi,

Thank you for writing such a great program. I'm currently evaluating it for use at our company. It is working great so far, except for this issue that I found:

Using two video sources "A" and "B" with "A" in "hot" mode (green bar) and "B" in "Standby" mode (orange bar).

The Fader functionality appears to work this way:

1) Initial state: "hot" @ 100%, "standby" @ 0%
2) During Fade: "hot" @ 100%-fade, "standby" @ 0%+fade
3) Upon Fade completion: reset fader from 100% back to 0%, swap video sources

The issue I have detected is that during fade completion I get one video frame from the wrong source.

I think what is happening is that the operation to reset the fader back to 0 and the swap of the video sources does not occur as an atomic operation, allowing the system to squeeze off one frame from "A" in between.

1) A in "hot"
2) B in "standby"
3) fader at 99%
4) frame out=mostly "standby"
5) fader reaches 100%
6) frame out=All "standby" (one full frame of B)
7) swap A and B (A is now "standby", B is "hot")
8) frame out=All "standby" due to fader being at 100% still (one full frame of A)
9) reset fader back to 0%
10) frame out=All "hot" (one full frame of B)

It is irrelevant in what order 7 and 9 are done, as the final effect will be the same. What needs to happen is that 7 and 9 need to take place before 8

I hope that makes sense to you. I can send you a video clip if you like.

Thanks,

Hector

Hi Hector,

The issue usually appears if the fade bar is held on to after the fade is complete.
I will look into some options to prevent this in the next version.
