Hi, The vMix Obsidian reference published on the vMix website is currently composed by:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X299 AORUS Gaming 7 Motherboard - Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Gaming OC 11GB
Taking a look at the comparison table of nVidia graphics boards (https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-gpu-support-matrix) seems that RTX-2080 Ti only can encode one video stream at a time (1 chip with 1 one NVENC). On ahother hand, it seems that GTX-1080Ti (with 2 NVENC channels) is no longer available. If all of this is true, is there another solution or a graphics board alternative to encode 2 streams simultaneously?
Regarding the motherboard, seems also that is no longer available. My local provider is offering me the Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro instead of. Do you think it is a good substitute?
Regards,
Jordi

The RTX series of chips only needs 1 NVENC chip to encode 2 streams as the GTX needed 2 chips to do the same work. FYI The X299 chipset is being replaced a new series of chipsets (X299G/R -> X499), Z399, X599 (in Q4 2019), no official info released yet by Intel. The reason the X299 are getting harder to find...
