Hi there, recently conducted an interview with a single vmix caller plus an additional device used for a bit of roving camera work (iphone). This second call only happened maybe 2/3rds of the way through and was not active until needed. (not a live broadcast)

We used multicorder to record my local camera shot, plus the main interview vmixcaller.
My camera input records fine as a single shot with 20 minute breaks as per settings, but the Vmixcall broke into multiple arbitrary length files, not a single consistent one with 20 minute breaks as expected.
We have reasonable bandwith here so dont think it was that.
What causes the breaks in recording on the vmixcall?

Hi,

MultiCorder records the raw audio and video, as a result there are a couple of reasons why the recording may need to be split:

1. If the resolution of the call changes.
This can happen initially when connecting to browsers, as they will start sending lower resolution video an change this dynamically
as the call progresses, once the call is stable it should stay consistent though.

2. If there is a gap of a second or more in the call.

As an alternative, vMix 22 now also includes support for recording the four vMix outputs through MultiCorder so you could route
the call input to one of those from Settings -> Outputs.

Regards,

Martin
