I would like to watch movies through vmix from my DVD players. I have a HDMI capture card but can't see any picture. I think it has to do hdcp but not sure. Is there a work around.

Yes, it's very likely an issue with HDCP on the DVD player output. There are some (cheap) HDMI splitter devices which appear to strip the HDCP - I don't know specific brands (some are unbranded) but a Google search might get you a link to something currently available via Amazon.

I've used VLC and the NewTek NDI plugin before to do this, it might also be possible to use the Vmix edition of VLC to perform the same thing.
