I have added a PowerPoint by adding an input and importing the PPT into vMix. The problem with this is that when you are doing something in vMix, the hand held clicker does not work. I have also used a second computer (laptop) with Desktop Capture (DC). The clicker will work while vMix is doing other things, but you cannot use a PPT with an embedded video. Is there another way to use PPT files that overcomes these problems?

vMix must be the active program for the clicker to work. What you can do is to set shortcuts to select you PowerPoint input. By default it will set the active (program) window. Check out the help files and tutorial videos on using shortcuts.
As for the embedded videos (and other PowerPoint features), vMix uses the PowerPoint export function (as do other programs) which turns all of the slides into images which means that any embeds etc do not work. What I do is download the embedded info and setup individual inputs or set them up as browser inputs. So when I get to the slide I simply run that content.

You can always add the PPTX as a source using Desktop Capture. That can be run locally or from another computer via NDI.
