Can I assume if I upgrade my boot disc and re-install Windows, that all I have to do is copy my license number to a new install of vMix after I re-install Windows?

You will need to copy (to a paper, etc) your license number. If you need reproduce the actual preset, copy '.vmix' preset to a pendrive.
