I am new to the world of live video.

I am looking at getting Roland V-1HD-W with Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2. I plan to run 3 camera's with audio feed.

1) Will this work well with Vmix?
2) Will I see all my cameras on Vmix
3) Will the audio show up in Vmix audio mixer?

I will use laptop, as its the best way to travail light, then a pc (windows)

Or any other options....

Thanks for your help

Mike

Click Download below to install the Free 60 Day Trial or to update your licensed copy of vMix. The download below includes the latest version of vMix, vMix Social, vMix Title Designer and vMix Desktop Capture all in the one setup program.

Hello irishmike,
i ran some productions with a similar setup using V1-HD and Elgato Camlink wihout any problems. Vmix recognizes the V1 as camera-source so you have the 4 V1-HD sources at one Vmix input.
1080i/50 - 1080p/50 and 720p/50 will work.
Audio channels will not be shown , you can set audio of each camera in V1-HD menu seperatly.
I am sure that the Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 as USB3 grabber will work like the Camlink with is much cheaper...
thanks 1 user thanked grinsekatz01 for this useful post.
