Has anyone tried using an external SSD via USB for the recording of the Instant Replay files?

I have a 4K version of vMix (1 Camera IR) and only record Instant Replay with "Live" mode off. I only utilise IR when referees which to review a call.

I have done this with 3 cameras. 500G Samsung SSD connected to TB3 enclosure with Magewell 4xHDMI card.
And this compo connected to PC. And running all 3 cams replays

Works fine
