Hi,

We are exploring the exciting possibility of using vMix on the cloud and it looks promising.
However, since Amazon's Elastic GPU doesn't show in the hardware list, we get errors like D3DERR_INVALIDCALL: Invalid call while trying to input RTSP, which seems to point on this absence.

Did anyone have experience with vMix on the cloud? Can you think of a way to overcome this?

It had been a while since I played with the AWS system. After installing Vmix on a GPU enabled system, I was unable to get Vmix to use the GPU as it's default. Regardless of if I went thru RDP, VNC, Teamviewer, etc. I always was stuck using the default Microsoft Basic Render Driver. I even disabled the Microsoft adapter and changed a setting in Group Policy.

We are using t2.2xlarge with Elastic Graphics.
I got a response from vMix support saying that Elastic Graphics only supports OpenGL and therefore doesn't show up in vMix.

We have also tried using a GPU instance, but only managed to use one of its four GPUs (Grid K520 / K340, I dont remember).

We will try again with the GPU instance, I guess.
If anyone had experienced successes in this field, I would love to hear.

I launched vMix on Amazon GPU instance and it works fine. I hadn't produced a full show on there yet though.

With SRT coming to vMix that would be an ideal way to deliver video back to Amazon for mixing etc

Thanks for sharing. Yes, it does work and did for us as well. However, we didn't manage to harness the full capabilities of the graphics card. Please continue sharing your findings.
