I can see no facility (in the documentation) to record the output (or any input) to more than one location.

If it is required to provide a highly fault tolerant system, it may be required to save a copy of the recording in multiple locations, preferably on separate hardware etc. This might be achieved via SMB/CIFS and/or iSCSI or some other network protocol.

My examination of the documentation leads me to conclude that this is not possible within the current product.

I assume therefore that an additional stream using NDI to a second machine is the only way this could be achieved, albeit with some complexity and processing overhead.

The ability to write a recording to more than one location on the local vMix machine might therefore be of value.
