Hi!

We are from Poland, and we use vMix call for video calls in our TV.
We started tests, whitch aren't successful.
We have big lags, though we have great, simetric internet connection (100/100 mb/s.
Skype is working well, zoom too.
What can couse problems witch vMix call?

Thank You!

My guess is that a firewall is blocking the ports used by vMix call, so STUN is used instead of TURN.

Actually, it's just the opposite. The restrictive firewall renders STUN unable to deliver a connection, so the system must use TURN.

Using STUN, the system is able to connect the media between the two ends directly. It creates a peer-to-peer connection. There's no server in the middle.

When TURN is employed, the media is passed through a server. That adds additional latency. It also means that the quality of the result is impacted by the load on the TURN server.

Yeah, I'm stunned! How on earth did I turn the terms? Must be the AW on a late Friday.

Thanks mjgraves for correcting me, even though it hurts to know that even I make mistakes. LoL

It's all cool. ICE cool even.

The podcast I've co-produced for the past 12 years (http://vuc.me) tracked the development of many topics in VoIP and WebRTC. We interviewed many of the thought leaders in that space even as the technology was in development.

A year or so ago, my partner tired of the subject matter to executed a major pivot away from that subject matter.

Do "we" know the TURN URI? It'd be helpful to have for https://test.webrtc.org/

Thanks,
