Hi, I've had nothing but problems with audio and some video stutter using bootcamp on my macbook pro, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and get a true windows laptop. I'm no "gamer" or PC expert so I thought I pose this question here. The newest Nvidia cards look like they're the RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080. Anyone know if the 2060 (with Optimus) is ok for vmix use? Or is it really better to step up to the 2080?
Specifically, I'm looking at the new Predator Triton 500 from Acer.
Thanks!

The Acer should do just fine unless you are planning on using 4 HD cams.

Thanks. They have basically two models. The 2060 and 2080. $800 difference between the two. So I wanted to see if the 2080 is worth the extra dough...especially if the 2060 doesn't truly support G-Sync.

The reason I did not purchase the Acer Predator Triton 500 Thin & Light Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-8750H, GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q, 15.6" Full HD 144Hz 3ms G-Sync IPS Display, 16GB DDR4, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, RGB KB, PT515-51-75L8 https://www.amazon.com/d...w_r_cp_tai_dXUKCbVQ7RVZ6...was because of this review regarding the fan noise: “This is simply the best laptop I have ever bought, except for one problem. The fan is loud no matter what you do. And if you are gaming the fan is so loud it is like playing on a dust buster. I actually returned it. I should say, I had the 2060 version. I ended up buying a different laptop with a 2060.” Instead I bought this one and I love it for my needs. Can’t hear the fan at all Acer Predator Helios 500 PH517-51-72NU Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-8750H, GeForce GTX 1070 Overclockable Graphics, 17.3" Full HD 144Hz G-Sync Display, 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, 1TB HDD https://www.amazon.com/d...w_r_cp_tai_U3UKCbWAKMDKK
