It would be great if we could easily change the background colour (color) in the title editor of rectangles/ellipse etc. Example you could change it from black to red by simply typing the colour or hex color code value. At the moment only text or images are supported, and backgrounds do not show in title editor. As you can see in this video the orange/black and red/black is possible to distinguish between teams...not possible with current Title designer unless they are images. https://www.facebook.com...videos/1230445097110328/including control by API

Peter, that is actually super, but I am unsure how you have done it, can you explain in a bit more detail? I can see it working, but not sure "how" its working!

Basically is changing the color of a font in a textbox containing a unicode character, so not really a rectangle or ellips as per GT designer item if it's really important to be able to change rectangle/ellips colors on the fly you will have to go the xaml title route for now

Search for charmap.exe on your computer. there you will find the needed boxed, circles and arrows. I also made the penalty template like this. penalty.gtzip (36kb) downloaded 42 time(s).Give any character his own name in your template. charmap.PNG (32kb) downloaded 6 time(s).I never needed more than theses characters, more complex shapes I quickly change with Photoshop. complexer forms.png (75kb) downloaded 8 time(s).

Thanks for this Peter, I was trying to type in the character code then Alt X, but now I see you just use the charmap to copy/past it in. It can actually come in handy in certain situations and is good to know. I have been teaching myself a lot of the Adobe software last week, Indesign, Illustrator, Animation CC etc (I did say I would never use subscription models, but they have some features I really need now). I suppose this could also be used for weather etc in a ticker. Anyone else notice that sometimes when you save the GT designer file, and reload it in vmix it does not update, you need to close it and bring it in again? weather.png (13kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Thanks everyone for the +1's. This feature request made it to Version 25.
To use it, make sure you uncheck the "Hidden" check box within GT Designer.
