Hey team, so this was the broadcast:
Youtube LinkThis was an Ice Hockey game between two University teams here in London. My kit included the following:
vMix 4k Edition V22
Blackmagic ATEM Studio Converter, with four cameras connected via fibre to individual ATEM camera converters
Blackmagic Pro Duo PCI card
Blackmagic 4k Extreme PCI Card (For External output, back into the fibre for return)
1 Birddog unit, for a HDMI feed of the Scoreboard for the ScoreboardOCR software
Four camera operators & one audio operator
Internet through one NETGEAR MR1100-100EUS Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router
Connected to a PoE switch for the BirdDog.
NVIDIA 970GTX Video Card
Streamdeck for Shortcuts
Streaming at 720p50
Software wise, I used Scoreboard OCR, which worked flawlessly. (First time, very happy)
I used Elgarfs amazing UTC software to run the whole show.
I was very happy with everything, after solving a major crisis early on with the Blackmagic ATEM converter. Only receiving two cameras, turns out after an hour of trying to fix it, it seems there was something wrong between the front unit, and a rack plate I had on the back. Solved it by ripping it from the rack and plugging everything into the back of the unit, bypassing the rack. Glad that worked.
I'd never used replays before, so that was new to me. Though I learned not to mark out so soon after an event.
Sadly, my EE plan ran out of data mid way through the second period. Didn't realise until late in the period, and then had to put out that fire. After that, streamed the rest through my phone via a wireless hotspot. Surprised that it worked just as good as the other device.
Also I need to find a way to automate removing of supers when replays end, any suggestions there welcome.
Any other pointers welcome. :) Thanks for the great software.
