Looking at putting together an 8 cam 1080 based system (quad duo) with a GTX1070. Is it worth getting the i7 8700K over the 8700?
The benchmark differences don't look anything near worth the 25% price hike.

The K series allows you to overclock if needed. That seems to be the only difference.

I use the Video Replay and the recording on Vmix
with my i7 8700K, a 1060 on my laptops + 3 Magewell usb Cauptures + NDi and i have no Problems
The CPU is Maximum on 50-60% and the GPU maximum 20-30% if the configuration correct on the GPU Treiber ;)
