If we have a venue blanketed in our on wifi/lan network, but no internet access, is the Newtek or Sienna app the only choice to broadcast from an ios or Android device?

The wonderful vMix call interface only works thru the internet correct?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

and a second question, between the two, which app have you found to work better. I have the Newtek one and its a little shy on options and also broadcasts in 4:3 ... which seems odd.

NDI Camera app for Android works well enough, if your Wi-Fi is really solid.

Otherwise, RTSP camera server (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miv.rtspcamera) app can be used. Since it uses H264 there's some latency, but bandwidth requirements are much less than NDI.

It has a built-in RTSP server, so you add it as a stream source, like a surveillance camera. No internet access required as long as you have IP addresses or internal DNS solution.
