Hello

I running vMix in a 60 day's free trial version
I try to setup a vMix stream from my Security IP camera
I follow the vMix setup and return with error's
Error About port or not authorized
I know that in VLC it is working all te time
My RTSP stream link is as follow
rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.6:554
again is working in VLC

Is there somebody to help me out working in vMix?

Thanks Rob75, Poland

I have the same problems with my Sony SNC-ZP550, when I remove the password for live view it works.
However it has ever worked in a previous vMix version, but not anymore.

EDIT: it works, but you have to add a user with viewer mode 'view', using admin doesn't seem to work..

Also because of the large latency and freezes, I left rtsp streaming for what it is.
In VLC it works OK (still high latency though), maybe a work around with VLC?
There are plenty topics about it.

Http (mjpeg) streaming via a Direct show filter like the free Alax (do a search) has surprising low latency without hiccups and you can add the Alax cameras like normal cameras in vMix.

If I can access the stream in VLC, I cut & paste the very same URL into vMix and it just appears. For example: rtsp://192.168.10.222/0

This works using both RTSP over UDP and VLC stream types in vMix. I find RTSP over UDP most reliable.

Note that I've set my cameras so that they don't require a login to be viewed.

My cameras can deliver MJPEG at lower latency than H264. However, when set for MJPEG they max out at about 20 f/s.
