[MultiCorder Feature Question]

My church is using vMix HD for live streaming and recording at the same time.

I'd like to know if vMix 4K or PRO is capable of recording both the RAW video and Mixed video (RAW with subtitles and logos) at the same time while live-streaming.

Look forward to hearing from you soon!

The answer is a definitive yes... and no.

Natively the Multicorder records camera inputs. What you call Raw. So, No, it does not record what you call Mixed video.

But Multicorder also records NDI inputs. You'll want to read more about vMix and NDI, but to make a long story short, you can take a camera input, add a logo or subtitle, and send it as an NDI output. Then we could take that same NDI input and bring it back into vMix as an NDI input, and thus a candidate for a Multicorder source as a NDI / Mixed video input.

Clear as mud, right? Post some questions.

BTW, here's a video from vMix about Multicorder:

Thank you so much for your response!

Then, is it possible to use 'record' and 'multicorder' at the same time?

'record' for recording mixed vidoes or live streaming videos (camera input + subtitles + logos)
'multicorder' for recording camera inputs

Thank you!
